Everyone - Everywhere 

Let’s Do This! We are excited to see what Jesus does through First Assembly's Kingdom Building generosity in 2025. Last year was AMAZING! We surpassed the $200,000 mark! Praise the Lord for that. Our four, Big-Give Weekends were transformational to our Kingdom Builder partners. In 2024 we invested heavily into Joel and Gail VanBriggle’s two church plants in Brussels, Convoy of Hope's Women Empowerment Programs, Joyce Kitano’s ChiAlpha in Tokyo, and Will Jones’ work in Guinea, Africa.

Let’s go into 2025 expecting Jesus to grow our love for His global kingdom. Let’s go into 2025 prepared for faithful praying, generous giving, and adventurous going. May the Lord fill heaven with every people of every nation, language, and ethnicity, and may First Assembly say “yes” when Jesus says, “Let’s do this!"

Meet our Special Guest Missionaries.

JOEL AND KAREN HOOBYAR

Indonesia
Joel and Karen serve in Indonesia, the fourth largest country in the world with nearly 100 Never Reached People Groups. Their heart is to see the Great Commission fulfilled in Indonesia with every people group having access to the good news. The Hoobyars are now stationed at SATI, the largest Assemblies of God seminary in Indonesia. They believe that by training up the next generation of Christian leaders, the great task of establishing churches among the Never Reached can finally become a reality within their lifetime!

RICH AND LAURA SMALLIE

Central Asia
As leaders of The Live Dead Launch Team in Central Asia, Rich and Laura are training young men and women from various nations to reach the Persian world through church planting. They guide these young men and women to grow deeper in
their relationship with Jesus as they abide, abandon, and apostle among people who have not had access to the truth of Jesus as the Savior of the world. They engage in learning the language and culture while consistently praying for, sharing the good news with, and discipling individuals in hopes that the Spirit will bring growth in the form of a church planting movement in Central Asia.

TYLER AND PHUONG HALSTEAD

Sensitive Location - Arab World
Over three billion people live without access to the gospel, and every day thousands die having never heard the gospel. Less than one percent of missions giving goes to reach
these people. Live Dead is dying to self so that the unreached might live for Jesus. We live dead with Christ as our sole focus to reach them so that Jesus may be glorified by every
tribe, nation, and tongue. The Halsteads serve with Live Dead in a sensitive location in the Arab World. They will be using English
education and business to plant the Church among a population that is more than 99.9% unreached.

JOHN AND MARLENE SCHWIDER

Illinois
For the past 3 decades John and Marlene have been creating positive memories for children who have experienced relational trauma. For the past 20 years, John has been an Illinois District Approved Home Missionary working full time with For the Children. He mobilizes churches to begin Royal Family Kids Camps and Mentoring Clubs, connecting children in foster care to meaningful relationships.

RECAP: 2024 TriPS

COLORADO

Our team of six men partnered with Outdoor Nations missionary, Steve Lummer, for a week of
adventure, outdoor discipleship, and ministry in Colorado. We served Belay Church and the
University of Colorado Chi Alpha with their Welcome Week Taco Drop.

BRUSSELS & FRANCE

Our team of nine served Redefined Church with Kingdom Builder partners, Joel and Gail VanBriggle.
Redefined Church is a new, multicampus church in Brussels, Belgium. The team prayer walked,
cleaned facilities, and served in various church ministry capacities. The team also served refugees in
France alongside Kingdom Builder partners Tom and Jenni Keating.

PROJECTED TRIPS 

CUBA (2025)

Buy A House, Build A Church! In October 2025, we will send a team back to Cuba working with two churches
we’ve supported in the Havana-area community of Cortorro. Pastors Elio and Leonardo are excited to welcome us back!

Junior Bible Quiz

This is our Bible-learning discipleship ministry for elementary students. We want to see the Word of God active in the lives of our kids. JBQ challenges kids to learn God’s Word at a deeper level and creates opportunity for kids to further build relationships with others their age as our teams experience friendly competition with other churches!

Unite Youth

Our youth matter to us! Our hope is that every junior high and high school student who walks into Unite feels welcomed into the family of God. Students from all backgrounds experience the hope and life-changing work of God at Unite. It’s important to us that the next generation is formed into compassionate and worshipful Christ-followers.

KidNation & KidNation Jr.

We want kids to learn about God’s love and have a blast while doing it. KidNation meets the needs of kids through high energy games and worship along with interactive lessons. Kids can experience God in a way that is tailored just for them!

GARY LEMBERG

Cuba
Rev. Gary Lemberg brings over fifty years of ministry experience. He pastored for eighteen years and served as Vice President of Development at North Central University and Global University. For the past nine years, he has followed the calling to the church in Cuba, establishing the ministry, "Buy A House, Build A Church", which focuses on expanding the House Church movement in Cuba. In the past nine years, Lemberg has taken over fifty teams to Cuba to help accomplish this task. He has also been able to take teams of pastors to provide valuable training for the pastors and church leaders in Cuba. The church in Cuba is a thriving growing church that is impacting a nation that desperately needs a message of hope.

Project Rescue

Western Africa, Europe & The Midle East
Project Rescue seeks to rescue and restore survivors of sexual slavery. Since Project Rescue was founded in 1997, they’ve been on a mission to rescue and restore victims of sexual exploitation through the love and power of God. Each Project Rescue affiliated site is launched by courageous men and women of God, often starting with street outreach. No two partnerships are exactly the same, but all caregivers offer God’s love, liberating truth, and compassionate, holistic care. Leaders and staff work 24/7 with survivors to support them on their journey toward restoration.
